Learn the art of coffee roasting on an outdoor patio overlooking the beautiful rolling hills of Marin County. Enjoy a barista-crafted coffee while examining several popular home-roasting methods, some using tools easily found in many homes. This roasting class is great for beginners, and you are welcome to ask questions on any aspect of coffee. As you gather around an open roaster, your senses will come alive as you witness the mesmerizing transformation of green coffee beans into rich, aromatic browns. You'll gain a deeper understanding of the roasting process and its impact on flavor profiles. Next, your guide will explain using a handheld roaster over an open-flame stove. Now you take charge as the coffee maestro by pre-heating your ceramic roaster, adding raw beans, and applying a gentle motion as you watch the progress of your roast develop. When your session ends you will leave as an accomplished coffee roaster with your personally roasted beans. Great for small groups, and great for team-building.
